First pleasant surprise were two hot small pitas and although I had enough of carbs from the pizza, the hot and crispy pita was too tempting. I ordered Beef Kobidah as I have been trying to make it at home with varied success and wanted to see how tender theirs would be. It was mostly empty at 6:30 on Tuesday but the menu looked authentic. read more Sometimes it's good to go with the instinct.and backed up by a quick look on google maps rating:-) Walking around Park and lower midtown to try some pizza joints, I saw Miraj after having a slice at DJ Pizza. Sometimes it's good to go with the instinct.and backed up by a quick look on google maps rating:-) Walking around. We were there just over two hours and all were delighted. I had to quit after the Kibbe, but I had to taste the pistachio ice cream. And then, after a short while they cleared our plates, asked if we'd like dessert (are they kidding, we knew about the Persian ice cream) and we did order desserts, coffees and turkish coffee. And I still could not finish all my rice! Everyone was very happy with the food. I had 1/2 basmati rice and 1/2 grilled veggies with mine. We had a chance to sit for a few minutes and digest before our mains arrived Lamb shank with Green rice, Kibbe Kobidehs, Chicken Sultana, Bronzini, Kebob Tikka. Then they brought salads for everyone with delicious white sauce on the side. We did, but asked not to be served until we were finished with our starters. While we were nibbling away they asked if we'd like to order. We ordered appetizers once we the others arrived - hummus, baba ganoush, samboosehs, shepherds salads. Snagged a lovely table for - six, and while we had to wait fifteen minutes for one couple to arrive, the wait staff did not hassle us, They were extremely pleasant from the get go, bringing us water, pita bread and butter and wine glasses immediately (it's BYOB).

We have an expanded menu, full bar, full service, HD tv’s for our sports fans and an amazing wine list. We are proud to be a staple in the desert since 2004 in La Quinta and 2014 in Palm Desert. The Bertram Family owns and operates both the Old Town La Quinta and Westfield Palm Desert. Unlike the franchisee owned stores, which can be found outside the Coachella Valley, both Stuft Pizza Bar & Grill locations in the desert are unique. The original over-the-counter concept kept growing, and in 1986, Stuft Pizza became a franchise. Jack and Pat opened their second store two years later in Whittier. Although the small store did only pizza and was take-out only, its emphasis on the highest quality product led to its success. Before opening the store Jack experimented for close to 9 months, developing the recipe for the delicious pizza we have today. Years before you heard about Stuft Pizza as one of the best restaurants in Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert or La Quinta, an entrepreneur named Jack Bertram and his wife, Pat, opened the first Stuft Pizza in Cerritos, California in 1976.
